Do You Know About 50+ Day Trips?
Are you over 50? Anyone over 50 can participate in the 50+ day trips. This past year, there were trips to Greensboro, Virginia, Asheville, Lake Lure, Charlotte, James Island, and more. The day is planned for you and transportation is provided. All you have to do is show up. It's a great way to meet people and experience something new.

Please help us identify parks and recreation needs by completing a survey!

The Spartanburg County Parks Department has partnered with Clemson University to conduct a parks and recreation survey as a means to collect data from citizens to help identify and prioritize the need(s) for recreational programs, facilities and services in Spartanburg County. The results from the survey will be used for future planning. This survey will take approximately 10 minutes to complete. We greatly appreciate your time. Lake Cooley Outdoor Recreation Center Opening Soon





The Lake Cooley Outdoor Recreation Center will be opening soon with kayak and stand up paddleboards for rent along with beginner lessons. Lake Cooley also offers picnic shelters and a meeting room available for rent. Check our website for updates!

Are you looking for something fun and adventurous for your child (ages 10-15) to do this summer? The Spartanburg County Parks Department has you covered with our Adventure Camp Program! This camp offers a wide variety of outdoor adventure activities in a safe, friendly, and supervised environment. The program focuses on introductory level skills and is open to beginners. Space is limited. Register Now!




Take a Kid Fishing Day
is June 17th



Children 15 and under can enjoy family fun and prize giveaways as they fish for bream, bass, and catfish in Spartanburg’s Cleveland Park Lake. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and provide their own fishing pole and tackle; bait is available on-site. Catch fish, win prizes… and it’s FREE!
