Total Eclipse of the Park
Food. Music. Once in a lifetime event. Sounds like a great way to say goodbye to summer, doesn't it? Join us at Tyger River Park and you'll be in the prime location to see the total solar eclipse. You can listen to music by Fayssoux McLean & Brandon Turner, plus we'll provide souvenir solar eclipse glasses, so you can enjoy the eclipse safely.

Wednesday, September 6

It's Hip to be a Square Dancer!
Get your dancing shoes ready! Join us from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Upper Level of Cleveland Park for some square dancing fun! The Spartan Spinners will be our guides. We'll enjoy a potluck lunch after we dance up an appetite, so please bring sandwiches, salads or desserts to share. Drinks will be provided.

Elvis at Flat Rock Playhouse
Ladies and Gentlemen, Elvis has NOT left the building. Donny Edwards returns to Flat Rock Playhouse for one weekend only with his tribute to the King of Rock
and Roll. We'll begin our trip with shopping and exploring Hendersonville, then we'll enjoy supper at Flat Rock Wood Room before the show.
Cost: $35 (Supper is NOT included in the price)

Tweetsie Railroad

All aboard! You won't want to miss this trip to the Carolinas' original family theme park. Join us for a day of fun at Tweetsie Railroad! You can shop Main Street, pan for gold and visit the animals in the Deer Park. Also, make sure you hop aboard the historic steam train for a 3-mile journey through the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Cost: $50

Biltmore House

Get an up close look at America's largest home! Whether this is your first visit to Biltmore or you've been coming for decades, it's always a treat. With gardens to stroll through, wine to taste and carriages to ride in, it's impossible not to enjoy yourself! We will spend the morning exploring to our heart's content, followed by lunch at Deerpark. We'll wrap things up with a carriage ride through the grounds.
Cost: $135 (Lunch is included in the price)

Spartanburg Area Senior Sports Classic

Competition never gets old! Spartanburg will host our 3rd annual local Senior Games, in partnership with the City of Spartanburg, Spartanburg County and the Spartanburg Convention and Visitors Bureau. It's a 3-day multi-sport competition for athletes 50 and above.
Cost: $25 (includes t-shirt and snacks)
Registration opens online August 1. RSVP deadline is September 30.

After Class Enrichment (ACE) Program

This begins on August 17, the first day of school. Character development, physical activity and nutrition education are all important parts of our program. We also provide nutritious snacks and supervised homework time daily.

We serve children ages
5 - 12 in Duncan, Holly Springs, Inman, Woodruff and Boiling Springs.

New After School Program in Chesnee for Middle School Students

Beginning on the first day of school, we're starting an ACE program at the Chesnee Community Center. It will include snacks, a teen lounge, a computer lab, scheduled activities and designated homework time. Each month will also have an age-appropriate theme that focuses on everything from leadership to healthy living.

Wizard of Oz

Lions and tigers and bears, oh my! On August 16, our Woodruff Spartanburg Council on Aging participants will take to the stage to perform the Wizard of Oz at 10 a.m. at the Woodruff Leisure Center.

Under Construction
Our Berry Field renovation project is underway! Our construction crews have been very busy, grading what will become to new multi-purpose field and building pedestrian bridges.
We expect this project to be done and ready for everyone to enjoy in early 2018.
